Premium Restorative Dentistry in Redlands, CA

Restorative dental care that will leave you feeling like a new person

Everybody wants to have a bright, healthy, confident smile. Sometimes, however, your natural smile may need a little help. Whether you are dealing with staining, chipped teeth, or something even more serious, restorative dentistry can help you achieve the smile of your dreams.

Crowns

Dental Crowns are used to repair significantly damaged teeth due to decay, cracks, chips gaps and other significant pathologies. A crown is much like a cap that is designed to take the load of chewing forces and protect the weakened tooth underneath.

The procedure involves preparing the tooth for a crown and making an impression to send to the dental lab to have the permanent crown fabricated to match the existing teeth. While the patient is waiting for the permanent crown to be made a temporary crown with nice esthetics is made.

Bridges

A Dental Bridge is used to replace a missing tooth and is essentially two crowns connected by a prosthetic tooth also known as a pontic.

The bridge procedure is much like the procedure for a crown where after the adjacent teeth are prepared an impression is made and sent to the lab for.

Once the bridge is completed it is permanently cemented in place.

Porcelain inlays and onlays

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays are the premier restoration options for repairing moderate amounts of tooth decay or damage. Superior esthetics can be achieved with inlays and onlays, the procedure is much like that of a crown except more natural tooth structure is left untouched. The decay or damage to the tooth is prepared away leaving any healthy tooth structure, an impression is made and the dental lab fabricates the missing portion out of porcelain which is later cemented in place.

Fillings

Fillings are a very common dental treatment used to replace minor amounts of missing tooth structure due to decay, cracks or chips.

We offer the tooth colored filling material also know as a resin or composite filling.

Periodontal care

Periodontal care focuses on the supporting structures of the teeth (bone and gums) which are basically the foundation for healthy dentition and therefore the foundation of all treatment plans at Citrus View Dental. Periodontal disease is extremely common and in many cases people may not even know they have it.

Periodontal disease and gingivitis is caused by the accumulation of plaque and bacteria which causes damage to the bone and gums that hold the teeth. The loss of support can lead to loose teeth and eventually tooth loss if left untreated. Once the bone and gums have receded it doesn’t come back. The persistent infection state of periodontal disease has also been linked to serious systemic health issues like heart disease.

Managing and preventing periodontal disease requires a thorough evaluation, regular visits for dental cleanings and exams but more importantly proper at home care. At Citrus View Dental we provide the necessary treatments and therapies for maintaining healthy gums and spend time discussing individualized strategies for sustaining oral health.

Root canal therapy

This treatment is required when the pulp or nerve of the tooth has become infected, inflamed or is no longer vital. In most cases patients experience a tooth ache when the nerve is damaged but in some cases patients may not even be aware there is a problem.

When damage to the nerve is beyond the body’s ability to repair itself a root canal is required to save the tooth. This involves accessing the nerve, removing any decay, cleaning and shaping the internal space of the tooth and then filling that space with a rubber material called gutta percha.

Once the root canal is completed then the final restoration like a filling or crown can be done to help preserve the tooth.

Dentures

Dentures are an excellent and affordable option for replacing missing teeth. They can be made to replace any number of missing teeth to help improve a patient’s esthetics, chewing ability, speaking ability and supporting the remaining dentition.

The denture fabrication process requires multiple visits to ensure the best fit and look that both Dr. Mee and the patient agrees with. Before any denture is finalized a try-in appointment is designed as a final check to obtain patients approval.
